The mummies curse is a made to stop mummies from being unwrapped. The curse can effect people from the toxins that are contained in the mummy. The toxins can be formed from insects mold and/or bacteria. "The molds the mummies themselves contain are aspergillus niger and aspergillus flavus" (National Geographic). People who enter the tombs can also get sick from the bat droppings. Bats inhabit many excavated tombs and their droppings carry a fungus that can cause a influenza-like respiratory disease called, Histoplasmosis. The mummies curse got it's name from the toxins and bat droppings the mummy's tomb and the actual mummy can hold. although, this curse seems to live on forever because mummies will always contain lethal toxins. It can cause allergic reactions ranging from congesting to bleeding of the lungs. In conclusion the mummies curse was made to keep away tomb raiders from unwrapping the mummy.
